Tejas, the Indian-built electric vehicle, has won the title of best car of the year, winning both awards at the prestigious Car and Driver awards in a poll that aims to measure how reliable EVs are.

The car, powered by the Tesla electric platform, was also the most reliable and the safest in the poll, with its range of 3,000km and zero-emissions charging capacity being rated among the best in the world.

It won the top award for the best range, and was the first EV to win the top category.

Tejas also scored a huge rating in safety, with a score of 5.2, surpassing the previous best car, the Volkswagen Passat, which was awarded the top score of 4.2.

This marks a significant improvement from the previous year, when the car was rated at 4.1.

The first car to be crowned Car of the Year in India was the Toyota Prius, which won the award in 2009.

In 2017, the Prius was again voted as the top car in the country, and the best car in India, ahead of the Jaguar F-Type, Ford Focus Electric, and Renault Zoe.

The second best car is the Volkswagen Polo, which has been voted the second best in India by Car and Trucking.

This year, the Polo scored a score that surpassed the previous top award, the Renault Zoe, which scored 4.5.

The third best car was the Nissan Leaf, which beat the Porsche Panamera by a narrow margin.

The Leaf scored a 5.0 rating in the safety category, the second highest in the industry behind the Renault Clio.

The fourth best car (ahead of the Renault Agera), was the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

The C-class was voted the fourth best luxury car in 2017, after the Porsche 918 Spyder, Porsche Pantera and Bentley Continental GT.

In the battery department, the BMW i3 and Renault e-Class scored the best scores in terms of battery life, with battery life being rated in the top 10 in the market.

The BMW i5, however, scored a 6.0 score, the worst score of any electric car.

The Prius won the Car of India Award in 2019, while the Nissan Leafs came second in 2019.

The Ford Focus E and the Volkswagen E-Class were third and fourth, respectively.

The award for Best Electric Car is given by a panel of car industry experts, based on a review of the car and its technology.

The judges also consider customer satisfaction, safety, environmental impact, reliability, design and cost.

The panel, chaired by EV expert and Tesla founder Elon Musk, is comprised of more than 1,500 people, including industry experts and journalists.

The winner will be announced on December 7.
